Simply Annecy began in 2021 as a service to help newcomers settle into life in this beautiful corner of France. While I no longer offer relocation services, the heart of Simply Annecy continues through my blog, where I share insights, experiences and practical information about living in and around Annecy.
From navigating French administration to exploring local culture, traditions and breathtaking nature, you’ll find tips and stories designed to inform and ease some of the stress that we feel before, during or even after a move.

If you are moving to Annecy, you don't speak French and need help running errands, Face-timing while being shown apartments, setting up utilities, and dealing with bureaucracy, I highly recommend reaching out to Bernie Szatkowski. I honestly could not have done it without her. I sent her the links of apartments for rent that I liked, she set up the visit, Face-timed me to show the apartment, helped me set up the electricity, wifi, hire a car etc... she was a life saver!
